Inima nu respectă reguli este un serial de excepţie care urmăreşte povestea de dragoste halucinantă şi dramatică a două surori îndrăgostite de acelaşi bărbat.

Harun Arslanli (Serhan Yavas) este un bărbat chipeş şi bogat, fiul proprietarului firmei de transport Arslanli care se îndrăgosteşte de Melda (Sinem Oztufan), o fată frumoasă cu idealuri înalte, care îşi doreşte nespus de mult să îşi construiască o carieră de succes prin propriile sale forţe.
Harun este al doilea om ca importanţă în firma Arslanli, după tatăl său, Feyyaz Arslanli. Majoritatea timpului său liber şi-l petrece alături de prietenul din copilărie, Batu. Are o relaţie intimă dar în acelaşi timp destul de ponderată cu Melda, una din cele mai de succes angajate ale firmei. Tatăl lui Harun este cel mai mare admirator al ei şi are foarte multă încredere în ea pentru că îşi face treaba la firmă cu conştiinciozitate şi profesionalism. Harun o cere în căsătorie pe Melda şi aşteaptă cu nerăbdare răspunsul pozitiv al acesteia. 

Melda este o tipă raţională, devotată carierei. Ea trăieşte alături de familia sa, tatăl Cemil, mama şi sora ei mai mică Eda. Fire conservatoare, Melda nu spune prea multe familiei ei despre relaţia cu Harun şi nici despre cererea în căsătorie a acestuia, până când nu va lua singură o decizie. 

Eda (Ozlem Yilmaz), sora ei mai mică, este studentă şi în timpul liber frecventează cursurile de dansuri tradiţionale, împreună cu prietena ei cea mai bună, Seval. Spre deosebire de Melda, ea este o fire jovială, pasională, caldă şi sentimentală, şi crede foarte mult că într-o zi, îi va ieşi în cale marea dragoste, că "prinţul pe cal alb" va apărea în viaţa ei. Deşi Eda se bucură de iubirea lui Tolga, un prieten din grupul de dansuri tradiţionale, ea nu simte că acesta este iubirea vieţii ei.
 

Acţiunea serialului capătă culoare şi intensitate maximă, când, printr-o coincidenţă ciudată, o persoană necunoscută intră în viaţa lui Harun, cu puţin timp înainte ca acesta să se căsătorească. Eda este cea mai minunată persoană pe care a întâlnit-o vreodată, însă el nu ştie că este sora Meldei, femeia căreia îi ceruse mâna. Harun şi Eda trăiesc un weekend de poveste, de dragoste nebună, intensă şi pasională şi aşa încep o relaţie de iubire. Chiar dacă dragostea pentru Eda îi domină inima, Haldun va încerca să şteargă cu buretele acea noapte, fiind logodit cu Melda. Harun este măcinat de mustrări şi resentimente că şi-a înşelat logodnica însă sentimentele pun stăpânire pe el iar inima lui refuză să respecte regulile morale si  ale raţiunii. Viaţa Edei este dată peste cap şi va trebui să înfrunte multe obstacole, să facă multe sacrificii pentru dragostea ei.

Inima nu respectă reguli dovedeşte că odată ce dragostea îşi face loc în inimile a doi oameni, aceştia devin "jumătăţi" iar regulile sau tradiţiile devin greu de suportat si de respectat.

Heart does not obey to rules  is an exceptional series which follows the dramatic and hallucinating romance of  two sisters who are in  love with  the same man.

Harun Arslanli (Serhan Yavas) is a handsome and rich man , whose father is the owner of  the Arslani Transport Company  ,  falls in love with  MELDA (Sinem Oztufan), a beautiful girl with high ideals who wants very much to build a successful career by  her own forces.
Harun -  the second most important man in Arslanli Company after his father Feyyaz Arslanli - spends most of his spare time in  the company of his  best friend since childhood, Batu. Harun is involved in an intimate but not a very passionate  relationship with Melda - one of the most successful employees of the company. Harun's father is her biggest fan and has a lot of confidence in her due to her professionalism and devotion dedicated to the company.   Harun proposed Melda to marry him and looks forward to her  positive response.  

Melda is a reasonable girl, devoted to career. She lives with her family, Cemil father, mother and her younger sister Eda. Having a  conservative nature , Melda doesnt tell details to her family about her relationship with Harun ; she doesnt either tell them  about his proposal , because she is determined to  make her own decission. 

Eda (Ozlem Yilmaz), her younger sister, is a student and she also attends -  during her free time - the traditional dances with her best friend, Seval. Unlike Melda, Eda is a jovial, passionate, warm and sentimental nature who is convinced that one day she will meet the great love  and she will meet one day her "prince on a white horse" .Although Tolga, her collegue at the dance classes , loves Eda very much she feels that he is not the One .

 
The intensity and colour of the action  increases when, by a strange coincidence, a stranger enters Harun's life,  shortly before  marriage. . Eda is the most wonderful person whom he has ever met, but he doesnt know that she is Melda's sister consequently his future sister - in - law.  Eda and Harun spend a weekend together  when they start  an intense and passionate  romance. Inspite of his deep  love for Eda, Harun - who is engaged to Melda - tries to  forget  that night .... Since then Harun's mind is facing the guilt and the remorses - as he has cheated Melda , his fiancee - while  his heart is longing still for Elda  being impossible to him to overcome this love obeying  to moral rules and  rational  thinking  Eda's life  is turned completely upside down , she has  to face so many obstacles, she has to do a lot of sacriffices .

Heart does not obey to  rules   proves that as soon as two people are madly in love with each other they become two "halves" that 's why the moral rules , traditions  are simply unbearable and quite impossible  to  be followed .
