Ţine valizele deschise în faţa sa, pune un obiect în ele, apoi îşi zice că poate ar fi mai util altul, scoate obiectul, dar îl pune înapoi, pentru că, gândindu-se mai bine, este indispensabil.În realitate, va exista întotdeauna acel ceva care scapă traducerii, iar arta traducătorului constă în a nu lasă nimic să se piardă. Însă, acelaşi lucru se poate spune şi despre cărţile originale pe care le scriem… 
  
• A translator is alike a traveller who is packing : who's keeping the luggage  opened , is adding  an object, which is removed and replaced with another one - which might be more useful than the previous one ... then the  object which had been removed a second before is added back to the luggage  because - after thinking better -  it seem to be indispensabil.  Actually there  will be always something that escapes  translation and that 's the challenge of a translator - the art of  letting anything unsaid. But the same can be said about the original books when they are written...
