The Story of the Ostrich

A man walked into a restaurant with a full grown ostrich behind him. The waitress asked  them for their orders . 

The man said " A hamburger, fries and coke ". Then - turning around to the ostrich - he  asked  "What's yours ? "

" I'll have the same " the ostrich said. 

A short time later the waitress returned with the order. 

"That will be $9,40 , please " she said .  

The man  pulled  out from  his pocket the exact amount of money and paid the meal. 

Next day the man and the ostrich came again.

The man said : "A hamburger, fries and a coke " 

The ostrich said " I'll have the same " 

And again the man took out from his pocket the exact money . 

And day by day things were going the same way , becoming a routine ...until one day when they came again .

" The usual ? " the waitress asked . 

"No, today is Friday " answered the man , " so I will have a steak , baked potato and a salad " continued him. 

" The same for me " said the ostrich. 

Soon the waitress brought them the ordered and  said " That will be $32, 62 ."  

Again the man  pull out from his pocket the exact charge for payment ...  

But this time the waitress couldnt hold back her curiousity no longer and asked him : " How do you manage always to take out from your pocket the right amount of money ? " 

“ Well  " , said the man , " several years ago while I was cleaning the attic I found out an old lamp. When I rubbed it a Genie appeared and granted two wishes to me .

First wish of mine was :  if I’d ever had to pay something, I would just put my hand into the pocket and the right amount of money would ever be there. “

“That’s brilliant “ the waitress said . “ Most of the people would have asked for a milion dollars or something  but you will always be as rich as you will need as long as you live ! “

“That’s right…whether it will be a gallon of milk or a Rolls Roys  the exact money to pay it will always be there “  the man agreeded.

“ And what about the ostrich ? “ 

The man sighed , paused … then  said  “ Well , my second wish was to be accompanied by a tall chick   having  long legs and who agrees with everything I say …. “
